gave in....
after months of trying to figure this pain out.. i have given in and accepted pain medication. MY weight loss is all screwed up from this on and off again eating crap.... i feel so defeated... :/ -sigh- they finally said this is just how its going to be and there is no answer...
sometimes people just have pain after bypass and have to learn to live with it according to my surgeon and GI specialist. my heart is torn...
I do not know what your story is but I am rooting for you! Wow, look at what you have accomplished. And all the while you have been in pain?
I have chronic pain and take pain meds and ya know what? I would rather take my meds and be able to be somewhat comfy and move around and be active!
Try your meds and once you have some relief, you may feel less defeated. Right now you are just worn down and out! You need some relief so give it a try!
Hope to hear you are feeling so much better soon.
God bless.
thank you. And iv have been diagnosed with "chronic abdominal pain" because thats all they could come up with, they dont know why or whats causing it but they can tell its there my blood pressure goes through the roof, i cant breathe, move or hardly function, it makes me emotional and just over whelmed. today was my first day and i didnt feel much like eating but i made my self eat some grilled chicken and salad.....my pain was lower so i am happy for that.
I have a friend who had WLS last summer and has been having intense abdominal pain on and off (mostly on!) for the past several months. Numerous medical tests have found nothing. She just made the decision today to move forward with the final option, exploratory surgery. I'd encourage you to push harder with your doctors and insurance company and see if you can make that happen. Living in pain without a reason is just not ok, in my opinion. I feel for you and hope you can find some answers soon!
