On Wednesday May 22, 2013 I will be one year post op! It is hard to believe! I am not yet at my goal weight, but I have faith and determination to get there. HW 352 SW 312 CW 212 GW 160 (per the dr. but I would like to be a bit lower) I am currently wearing a size 14 pants and large to x-large shirts depending on the style, but am finding the xlarge are beginning to be too "roomy".  My daughter is almost 27 and I have not been this low in my weight since before she was born, I feel amazing. Anyway it has been an amazing ride and I have made many lifestyle eating changes that I plan to stay with for the rest of my life. I have had a great support system in my hubby and kids, but really I have not had any negativity enter my life with respect to my surgery, I am very open about it and have only received positive feedback from others, I guess I am one of th lucky ones. Most days I have much more energy and what I am enjoying the most is the hours I can now spend playing with my 18 year old granddaughter, grandma can now play on the floor, run around with her playing chasing games, and just plain keep up with her, love it! She is the sunshine in my world! I have not really had many stalls along the way until recently it seems the last couple of months I have hit two major stalls lasting about 6 weeks each, I think I got spoiled when I didn't have long stalls along the way, so these stalls have been very frustrating, but I get through them and move on.

To those just starting this journey hang in there it is very worth it! My only regret is not doing this many years ago, but then I have to wonder if I would have been ready then to make the lifestyle change necessary.

I will post one year pictures as soon as I take a pic this month, I think I will have hubby take a pic on Wednesday on my official one year date!

It will hurt. It will take time. It will require dedication. It will require willpower. It requires sacrifice. There will be temptation. But, I promise you, when you reach your goal, it's WORTH IT! (Author Unknown). I feel this sums up my ongoing journey to a healthier me!
