Dry skin after surgery? Try coconut oil!

It seriously works great. My skin has been pretty dry and I'm also prone to eczema. A friend suggested using coconut oil and the difference is like night and day. It has also worked really awesome as a face moisturizer. I have one really faint forehead wrinkle and when I woke up after using it just once it was already disappearing (not sure if that's permanent but hey, I'll still take it!)

How do you use it.  It comes in a pretty solid form - do you heat it up first??  I bought some, but really don't know how to use it!  My skin has been super dry lately.

It is solid but it turns to liquid at 74 degrees so just take a dime size amount and rub it between your hands then apply where your dry!

I have also been dry, was before the surgery... Do you get it at the drug store?   

It's actually a food oil so I found it at my grocery store. It was with all the other specialty oils like walnut oil and truffle oil. It's a little pricey but a little goes a long way.

Oh yes, I love it! I keep some in each bathroom and use it in cooking, too. The organic giant jar at Costco is 16$ and lasts FOREVER it seems! I even give the dogs a spoon of it once a week to help their coats.
