Okay. So I spend a lot of time at my Grannys house. And when I am there I eat TERRIBLE. And I mean you wouldn't believe what all I eat. In 6 weeks I have lost 1 pound. and I go to my dietitian Friday. I had my surgery 4/9/12. I don't know why I do this! I go to her house usually every wed through sun or mon. And I have to go because I go to her church. And just recently joined the church. I love it and don't want to go to any other. WHAT DO I DO??? Its only at her house that I do this.
If your wondering why I sound like a child its because I have a disability that makes me kinda like that. Im not dumb or anything. Just a little like a kid. Please SOMEONE help me with advice. Godly advice is good too! THANK YALL!

This is just my opinion, but if it were me, I'd stop going until I could get myself under control. To me, that sounds like emotional-based eating, and unless you remove the trigger, you're going to have a really difficult time. :(

Good luck.

Does your granny have healthy food at her house?  If not, would she be willing to buy some?  Or else can you take food with you so you have healthy stuff that tastes good when you're there?

She has major bad stuff to eat. I've tried bringing healthy stuff but then slowly going to the bad foods. She's tried hiding the stuff but I find it without even looking for it. I open the bowl cabinet and there it is!

Bottom line, if you don't have any self control then you need to stay away. Discipline is not easy, but that is what we have to teach ourselves as we can't control what someone else has in their house, but we can control what we put in our mouths. Good Luck!

It sounds to me like you associate her house with the bad food. Try your best to take your healthy food with you and change your focus from food to love & church. Make those 2 things what you associate with her house instead of junk foods. You sound like you have faith, and you go to her house in order to go to church. What if you try praying when you are tempted to eat the bad foods? Then, after prayer, turn your attention elsewhere. If you are truly hungry, eat something healthy and thank God for providing that healthy food and the stength to eat it instead of junk. If you're not hungry, find something else to occupy your mind, hands, and mouth. You can do this, and He can help!

can you get healthy foods, and measuring cups so you can measure what you are eating and put them in just one cupboard with a couple bowls and small plates?  that way you don't need to get in any other cupboards.  just a thought!

Is there a reason you cannot just go on Sunday and if needed on Wed? You do not need to stay there for almost the entire week. Does it not disrupt your ability to get to work and maintain friendships closer to your home? And frankly, no church is worth my health...or yours! If you cannot be accountable to yourself for your health, then you need to find another church that is closer and allows you to stay at home and not be at your grandma's house for the majority of the week for a few hours of church.
