I had gastric bypass. on May 22nd 2013. and I guess I'm being impatient but I'm not sure I lost 30 pounds and this is my 4th week. I guess my question is is it normal or is it slow. because it feels very slow to me. in my head I thought I'd be at 300 by now.I have all these thoughts in my head and I guess I just need to settle down and be patient. anybody experience this?

Nothing is wrong. Everyone loses at a different pace and about 8lbs a week sounds great. You will be in the 200's in no time.

Keep moving and doing what your doc told you to do.

Seriously, that's more than 7 pounds a week - what were you expecting? That's a huge loss!

Thanks sometimes my personality is a downfall for me, everything in my life has to be so fast or immediate I have to work on myself a lot more or I'm doomed to be eternally disappointed. Thanks for your feedback

That's an awesome lost so far! I am nearly eight weeks out and have only lost about 38 post op!! Try not to stress over numbers. You will keep losing.

Wow! You have lost a lot of weight so far. Well done!  I am 2 weeks post op and have only lost 12 pounds, of which I lost 9 pounds in the first week.  Weight loss was a secondary goal for my weight loss, so I am trying not to obsess about it.  I am already feeling healthier and I am not feeling guilty anymore.  Just being guilt free makes me feel so much "lighter".

A 30 pound loss in 4 weeks is AWESOME ... you are doing GREAT ... not to worry as long as you stick to plan the weight WILL come off ... sometimes faster... sometimes slower... sometimes we stall as the body adjusts ... do not fret .. we have all been there...

BEST WISHES for an awesome continued journey!!!
