Day 1 complete

Surgery was yesterday and it all went well. I have a great team of medical staff & they are really supportive! The morphine drip is a god send but I still have severe lower back pain (because I'm on my back more than ever). They gave me a nausea patch & it has helped but I still had dry heaving when I started to walk. I finally made it to the nurses station (50ft on way) on my 3rd attempt yesterday and it felt amazing!!!

Just had some labs done & the Upper GI test is in a couple of hours then I can finally have my fluids. (So excited)

So glad everything went smoothly! First few days are tough, but it only get better! Happy walking :-)

I'm so so happy for you cause i thought it was going to be harder then you said. I go in for my surgery on the 24 th and I have tto say I'm a little nervous . But after hereing what you said I'm better. Thank you for this post! I hope you recover fast .
