Is this normal? I used to go everyday. I am still on a liquid diet, but not going at all can't be good. I don't even have the urge.
Any in site would be great
Thanks

I went 7 days without a BM, twice, and my doctor says that is totally normal. If you are not having the urge or feeling 'full' in your bowels, then you are not constipated, per his comments.

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

I can only tell you what my surgeon said, which was that a few days without a BM is totally normal, but not like a week.  Have you considered adding more fiber to your diet, to start?

I didn't go for the first week. I was even on stool softeners and that didn't do the job. So I was told to try senekot and if that didn't work I was to use MOM (milk of magnesia)

Luckily I waited an extra day and it happened on its own :)

Miralax and colace will generally help too. I have been dealing with constipation far too much. Also are you bloated at all? That could be a sign of constipation it was for me. 5 days is a while to go without. Do you feel pressure at all down there? If you do i would try the miralax first then the colace if that doesn't work i would probably do a saline enema as that will get out anything that is already down there. Also make sure you are getting PLENTY of fluids being dehydrated certainly doesn't help the problem.
