I qm going to my preop appointment this Tuesday and am nervous after working on this for over a year. What should I expect?

I'm right there with you. Preop is tomorrow and surgery is Wednesday. Like you I have been working on this for several months. Anxious and ready to get this part behind me but also having the normal second thoughts but I know in my heart this is the right thing to do. Just dreading the surgery and recovery. After that I think all will be well. Wishing you the best!!!!

You will both do just fine and will get through it. If you are like me,it won't be as bad as you expect.

my pre op was simple just a lot of waiting. had labs, saw the RN who asked a bunch of questions then i saw the anaesthetist...that was all for me, some had to have an ECG or chest xray
