Fresh Fruit?

How many of us are enjoying the multitude of fresh fruit this summer?? I have to say that I have! It worries me a little with the carbs, although I haven't gotten sick at all from it. Should I reserve it as a special treat, or is it ok to have some almost daily? I really enjoy my protein with some fresh strawberries or melon...mmmmm.....

I myself have some type of fruit everyday.   I just finished some watermelon at my desk. I do fine with these natural sugars/carbs from fruit and not very good from any kind of cookie or that sort of sugar/carb. We just have to be careful not to have too many calories or I believe it will slow our loss.

I don't limit fresh fruits or veggies at all.  As long as I'm getting my protein in, which I do easily, I eat all the fruits and veggies I want.

I'm the same as Kelly.  I do not "count" or limit fresh fruit or veggies.  Eat all I want every day........as long as I've had my protein. And I've been eating my weight in watermelon lately!

I eat some sort of fruit everyday as part of my breakfast. The natural sugars in fruit don't bother me. I just make certain to get my protein also.

It's not just okay, it's what you should be doing.  As a rule, if it grew from the ground you can't possibly go wrong.

Same here, I refuse to limit myself when it comes to fresh fruit or veggies (unless they make me sick, which is the case with some raw veggies, like baby carrots).  I consume massive amounts of watermelon during the summer, it's my absolute favorite fruit of all time and is good for helping keep you regular and hydrated.

Even though I am off insulin and all diabetes meds I still consider myself a diabetic so I limit fruit to a few grapes, one orange a day, and strawberries maybe once a week.   It is definitely on the low side of my diet.  I could be full on just strawberries and yogurt but I wouldn't get any protein in.

I'm with BWB, I am type II on Metformin and diet to control and so restrict my fruit consumption to berries a couple of times a week at most and an apple now and then ...

I'm supposed to have a fruit or vegetable with every meal.
