3 Days Post Op and Still in Hospital

Had surgery Tuesday and still in hospital with iv and drain tube. Can only suck on ice chips cuz I haven't a passed any gas yet. Ives been walking constantly but nothing. Surgeon says if I drink juices it might make me nauseous. At first ice chips were great. Now I'm just sick of them. Want some flavor. Hoping to be discharged soon.

Hope you come home soon. When I had mine I was in the hospital for a week.

I had the same issue. They wouldn't release me until I passed gas or had a bowel movement.  Finally they gave me a tiny amount of milk of magnesia and the dreaded "suppository" and by the end of the day it was a different story.  I was homeward bound the next morning!

Hang in there girl and I hope you get out soon! Try and move if you can...that'll also help you.
