What are you thoughts??

I'm training for a half marathon!  I find myself running out of energy and not able to up my pace.  I think it;s due to me taking in so few calories.  I get in 800-1000 a day.  I'm only a little over 6 months out. Plus since I've been doing longer jogs and more miles, my weight loss has really slowed down.  I wonder if my body just wants to hold on since I'm feeding it so few calories.
I just need to find something that will help fuel me for long jog days!

Thank you!!!

I personally think so, but do you have a nutritionist you can email or call about your workout schedule....and how much you are eating?   That sounds like a lot of exercise on so few calories.

Just my take on it.  Maybe someone can give you better guidelines.

You're doing great!  My exercise level is not nearly that and I'm at 15 months out.

You might want to PM NFarris and ask her. She does marathon training and could give you some insight on calories based on your expenditure of calories.

When is your race?

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

That sounds like no where near enough calories if you're training hard.  What does your dietician say?

That strikes me as too low to support vigorous training but you really need to speak to a professional.

I talked with my NUT and she says I'm not burning as many calories  as I think I am. But if I get in 3 miles or better I think I need to up my calories for that day!!  I'm hungry!!  I just came from the doctor (shrink) and he thinks I'm doing great and he agree's if I'm working out that hard I need to up my calories on those days!!

Thank you everyone!!
