Should I be worried?

I had my surgery on 8/28 and still have not had a bowel movement. Is this cause for concern or normal?

I think that's pretty normal. I don't think I had one much, if any, sooner.

It was about 9 days before I had mine, 3 days after I started the clear liquid diet.

True victory comes at the very end, when you can say, " I lived, and will gladly do it again." View "failure" as a setback, and meet each accomplishment with a larger goal.

It took exactly a week after surgery for me. It was painfully uncomfortable :(

Are you drinking your fluids and taking a stool softener like Miralax daily? Stool softeners depend on water to work, so you really need to be sure you are hydrated and if you don't go by Thursday, I would call your surgeon and ask them for their input.

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way. Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!
