I ate 2 bites of watermelon with my cottage cheese dinner tonight. I know it has a high sugar content so made sure to eat tiny bites. I have to say that this was the best flavor I've eaten since my surgery. Wish I could have more.

So eat more.  You have very little to worry about eating whole fruit.  In addition, watermelon isn't especially high in sugar either, especially compared to other common fruits.

I also eat quite a bit of watermelon. really love it with cantelope and berries. What I have found is that I do better if I balance it with a protein (like cottage cheese). When I just eat the fruit I think I get a little reactive hypoglycemia. But love the fiber and water content in the fruit! ENJOY!

Watermelon is one of the foods that makes me feel like a "normal" person when I eat it. Meaning I can have a bowl of it, and eat the whole thing because it smooshes up to nothing. And it helps with your water intake!! LOVE WATERMELONNNN

Watermelon is the one fruit that I eat that doesn't seem to bother my sugar levels at all. Knowing that it helps with my fluid levels doesn't hurt either!

Go for it!  Good to pair with protein if you feel you may react but I eat it just as a snack and LOVE it!
