Question about protonix... Sorry for posting twice tonight but worried.

When I first got home from surgery I was taking my protonix daily as prescribed. The past like 6 days I have forgotten to take it. Could this have made me develop and ulcer. I have this burning sharp pain usually when I first wake up and at night where my esophagus meets the new pouch. I'm scared I may have developed one due to a careless mistake. Does anyone know anything about this? Please help!? 

Sounds like heartburn to me. Just start taking the Protonix again and I think you should be fine.

Do you take any other meds? What time do you usually take it? You're going to have to start remembering to take your vitamins at certain times. I set alarms in my phone so I can remember to take mine.

I would call. The Dr. may want to give you a script for an additional protectant such as Carafate.
