Lucky me, I'm in that 10%...

So today I went for my post op appointment and I am being readmitted to the hospital. He is going to give me all my nutrients through my veins since I cannot hold anything down. He also is going to run some tests on me to see what is going on bc he thinks I have a stricture. This is the first bit of relief from being stressed about being ill constantly I have has in a week and a half. 

 

Did anyone else have to be readmitted?

Yep, I was readmitted 3 times for different reasons. The first was nausea, vomiting and dehydration.  My electrolytes were all screwed up, turns out I had a post op infection that was causing all the problems so had to take heavy duty antibiotics for 2 weeks and because of that got readmitted with a viral infection and dehydration.  Just wiped my immune system out with all the antibiotics.  Started taking probiotics to help with that.  Then recently I was admitted from the ER for ulcers.  I got the tri-fecta!  Don't worry too much.  If you stay on your diet and do what the doctor says you should be fine after a while.  Just let them fix you up and you'll feel better in no time.  Even after all that crud I feel pretty good now.  And I met one of my goals by getting into a size 12 pants!  It sucks while you are in it, but I promise it gets better!

yes, i was readmitted due to ulcer, and also had TPN (IV nutrition). it sucks now but you'll get through it. wishing you the best.
