Surgery in the morning!
I am so psyched and proud to almost be on the losers bench with all of you!
This site and all of your insight has been invaluable during the journey to get this far.
Pre-op liquids went fine, except while I made ziti and meatballs for my family for while I am in the hospital. (Ugh!)
They say that nothing tastes as good as skinny feels,..... I sure hope so, as the smell is torture right now.
New life starts tomorrow.
See you on the other side friends.
Good luck to you tomorrow Stacy! My big day is tomorrow too. Soooo excited. I know how you're feeling about the ziti. Today was my triplets birthday and I'm trying to deal with cake, pizza and lots of yummy party foods. But it is so worth it to get to tomorrow. Keep us posted as to your success.

Just had my surgery on Tuesday and I am going to be brutally honest......the first two days after surgery I kept thinking What have I done! But now it's not so bad. The pain has gotten much better and I am even cooking for my family. It smells good but the thought of eating food again makes me queasy. I never anticipated the pain I had after surgery. You dont realize how much you use your tummy muscles. Even with all the pain I have no regrets. I am finding that thicker liquids are harder to ingest. But I have yet to get nauseated. You will do great, keep your head up and stay positive. The only reason I am advising you of the pain is because I would have appreciated it if someone had told me. Good luck and keep me posted
