dizzy spells

I've been having dizzy spells lately, often times feeling like I'm going to black out. I'm almost 4 months post-op. Could it be related to my surgery/nutritional issues? (I have an appointment in 1 week with my PCP.)

It could be several things. Hows your blood pressure? Does it happen when getting up from being seated, moving to quickly, etc? If so it most likely is that and you will need to be careful to get up more slowly until your bp recovers

This happened to be between 2-4 months out as well. Finally it went away. Your body is going through some serious changes.

It happens to me sometimes when I get up from sitting or kneeling. I know it's my blood pressure so I just make myself a little chicken concentrate with some ho****er and I always feel better within minutes!

Well my blood pressure tends to be low sometimes and the salt in the concentrate helps bring my blood pressure up!

As little as we eat (typically) provides a very little sodium. A lots of "our" foods (protein drinks, yogurt, cottage cheese) have vety little sodium. And a lot of nuts recommend low sodium diet... When I track my foods - most days I get less than 1000 gr of sodium, and need to add some to my food to make sure I get enough. Too much salt may be bad, but not enough masy also create a problem. (We need salt to keep the water in and keep BP stable)
