7 years out today...

Well there it is...The good and the bad.  A few months ago I was up to about 234...I've dropped 10 pounds and sit at about 224 today.  Wanted to get the picture in before sunset.  RNY doesn't really help with the aging process...I'm still getting older.

It seems like just the other day they were wheeling me into the operating room.  Then the "what have I done to myself"??  As the pounds fall off you have more freedom.  You learn how to eat differently.  Over the years you stop thinking about the surgery.  You make the changes and it becomes part of your lifestyle.  If  haven't made the right changes (sugar, chips, chocolate, etc...) the pounds creep up.  It's a tool you've been given and you want to use it wisely.  I'm still riding my bicycle a lot and exercising.  We have a 20 acre farm and that keeps me busy....Anyone need some manure?  I'm not on these boards much, but there is still a wealth of knowledge here.  You new guys can get great info.  Well, that's my story...Thanks for being a part of it.  Brian

Congratulations! You have done very well.  Doesn't it feel great to mark the passing of each year knowing that you are maintaining the weight loss?  broken heart

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

I really like reading about long term success. I had failure with my lap band, so naturally I am worried that this will fail also. I'm losing slower than most, but the weight is coming off. I hope I can say it stayed of in 7 years. You look fantastic!!! Congrats on your long term success.

Well done on maintaining your weight!  You are an inspiration! Would love some manure, but can you ship to Switzerland? :-)
