I'm 4 month post RNY and I'm just curious to know how much food you guys were able to eat at this point? Right now I can eat anywhere from 1/2 to 1 cup, depending on what I'm eating. I feel like that seems like a lot. What was/is your experience?

Personally I have not had surgery yet but when I talked to the dietician on thur she said I should never eat anymore then a 1/2 cup and my dr said at the seminar you should never eat more then a happy meal, that is what I have been told I thinking its probably different for everyone.

I'm about 3 1/2 months out and sometimes I can eat more and sometimes I can eat just a tiny bit and I feel stuffed. I guess that's why it's important to still watch serving sizes. Someone else told me (here on O.H.), most times you can eat more of something that is mushy and something more dense will fill you up more quickly.

I am 4.5 months out and I can eat quite a lot. I can  easily eat 300 g of food. I eat around 1100 cal per day.

i am 3 1/2 months post op and I can eat between 1/2 to 1 cup at a time depending on what it is. I usually have pain in my chest that let's me know to stop or that I went too far.

Dense protein like steak, chicken, omelette, fills me up fast. Things like yogurt, cottage cheese, sugar-free pudding, not so much. That's why many foods are called 'slider food' in our world. I don't measure dense proteins, but I have to measure the sliders... otherwise I would eat too much.

I am 5 months, 1 week and can do about 1/3 to 1/2 cup, but the 1/2 cup would be in the form of something like yogurt. Nothing 'solid' in that quantity.

Sounds about same as me.  I still only take a small bowl that holds a cup max and only eat half to 3/4 of that per meal.  Breakfast is usually 2 tsp quinoa flakes, 1 scoop protein powder, a few nuts or dried fruit and water.  Nuked for 90 seconds, add cinnamon and milk.  Or 1 egg, .5 oz cheese and either 2 slices bacon or maybe 1/2 slice of low cal toast.  I am over 3 years out and find that I do not want to force more down, or just am full with this; don't want to pu****  At 5 months, I could only eat 1-2 tbsp yoghurt at a time and for fruit, a half banana at most.  Everyone is different!!!

I'm almost 4.5 mos out, I eat 1/2 - 3/4 cup of food, but it really depends what it is. Slider foods are almost always easier to eat, so that is why measuring is important regardless of what you think you can fit in. 2-3 oz. of a dense meat at a time is approx. what we should be getting in but what does your plan say? Calorically I eat about 650-700 calories/day.

My plan says around 700-800 calories per day and 1/2 cup at a time. I eat a lot of Greek yogurt and those containers are 6oz.
