Leg cramps at night
If you're three months out, you should be seeing your doctor for labs and a follow up. Make sure to get your magnesium and potassium levels checked. You may be low on those, but I would get the labs done before increasing them since taking too much can be harmful.
Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR. If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor. Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me. If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her. Check out my blog.
Then I would call and ask them to order labs now instead of waiting for January.
How much calcium were you taking and how much did you increase it to? You're taking calcium citrate, right? Do you know what your vitamin D level is? Because if that's too low, you won't absorb calcium well no matter how much you take.

Yes, I'm only 8 days out and for the first several nights I would wake up with leg aches. That was the main reason I would take the prescribed meds they gave me to take home from the hospital. I tried pushing more fluids and the last few nights have been better. Now I wake up with my hip hurting. The side I sleep only. :/
Are you drinking enough liquids? Make sure you aren't having some dehydration issues. I know when I haven't drank enough I'm sure to wake up with cramps in my feet and calves.
Yes, I suggest you call your surgeon. It could also be potassium, magnesium or who knows what else....some many things can cause leg cramps.
