high b12 levels
About 6 months ago, my B12 was 1860. I wasn't worried about that but since I don't need it to be that high, I cut back on my B12 some. A month ago, it was 1240, I think.
I disagree that 400-900 is "normal." Well, it may be normal in the sense that many people may have levels of B12 low enough to cause symptoms of deficiency, but 400 is definitely not a healthy level of B12. I've read stuff that says people start having symptoms like depression and fatigue when it gets below 550 and below 400, you can get permanent nerve damage in your hands and feet. I don't think being tired and depressed should be considered "normal" so I don't think a B12 level below 550 should be considered normal, either.

Mine are consistantly high and have been for 10 yrs or more. I do the sublingual every other day, then doc put me on twice a week then once a week. I seem to be one of the post ops that do absorb B-12 from food. (There are a few of us). I now take my sublingual B-12 when I remember - or once a month and my levels have come down a bit but are still around 900-1000. I've been as high as 3900.
