No longer diabetic (for now)

Isn't that a GREAT feeling! I still have to take my cholesterol med because I have genetic high cholesterol...Prior to surgery, even at the highest dose my cholesterol was uncontrolled, now I can take the highest dose and have it be "normal"...so if you get off it, and it goes back up, don't worry....the meds can work better cause of weight loss. Having the diabetes in remission is a BIG DEAL.....were you injecting insulin before? What freedom is that!!!!!:)
Congratulations, Katie and thank you for putting (for now) on this post!!!
It's great you have gone into remission, but please make sure you have an A1c done at least 6 monthly FOREVER! Please do not take this remission for granted and make every effort to stay diabetic healthy (food and exercise wise) to keep this status for as long as possible ...

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way. Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!
