6 months post-op: what do/did you eat?
on 1/6/14 11:30 am
I'm 7 months out.
I start with coffee-and usually add half a Premier Protein shake to it. I drink the other half later in the day for a snack.
An hour or two after coffee, I have Greek Yogurt or 2 scrambled eggs for breakfast. Once in a while, I have 1 egg and 1/2 slice whole wheat toast.
Lunch is leftovers from dinner the night before or lunch meat and cheese rolls-4 oz.
Afternoon snack , I'll have half a protein bar or a cheese stick. Although lately, I've been skipping an afternoon snack.
Dinner: Lean protein like chicken breast, pork loin, pot roast or fish/ seafood -, 4 oz. and veggies if I have room.
I have started to incorporate some whole grains in my diet, but not very often.
I woke up in between a memory and a dream...
Hi, I'm 6 months post-op. This is my routine:
wake up-8oz water with multi vitamin and birth control pill
coffee with half and half, sometimes 2 cups
at work I take 2 large water bottles and drink through out the day - 40 oz of water
1st break-yogurt with 2 calcium/vitaminD3 pills
lunch-cheese stick, nuts, 1/2 apple with 2calcium/vitaminD3pills
after work-1/2 protein bar
dinner-whatever I cooked for family but I just eat the meat and couple spoonfuls of veggies...chicken, meatballs, fish, shrimp pork chop, meatloaf, etc.....3/4 cup to 1 cup
snack-slice of cheese, 4 crackers, with dill pickle
2-3 more glasses of water
right before bed finish with glass of water and iron pills
I don't count calories, I get 70-100oz water, 60-80g of protein.
