If you are following your plan than you are fine. You can't lose the weight overnight.I wish we could. Your body needs time to heal.It is still early out for you.I know I am not a vet but all of a sudden you will start to lose and to continue to lose.Do a search on stalls. You will be okay.

Did you gain it all in 4 weeks? Did you always gain every day or every week? You won't lose every day or every week. If you are sticking to plan--protein, hydration, measuring, eating only when you are meant to, exercise...you WILL lose!

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

It's just a stall. It's common at your stage and could last a couple weeks to a month. It's not fun, so when this happened to me at 3 weeks post surgery I stayed off the scale and just stuck to my plan. I tried to drink more water and walk longer to break the stall. Mine lasted almost 3 weeks. You can get thru this.

As the other posters have said, you will not lose weight every week. Your weight loss is most often like stairsteps with landings in between. You will have times when you lose lots and others when you stay the same or even gain. Just keep following your doctors plan with good eating, plenty of fluids and exercise and you will lose at your body's rate. You are not in charge of your weight loss speed- your body is! Just do your part and you will have success!

HI!

I am 5 weeks out and I didnt lose anything for a week and a half.

I just kept exercising, sticking to the docs plan, and upped my water.

The day after I upped my water, a pound fell off. Just like that.

By the way..I ahve only lost 24 lbs in 5 weeks. So I think your 34 lbs in 4 is damn good.

Way to go!

Thanks for posting this concern...I was in tears this morning over the same issue...My RNY was on 12/26 and I have lost 20 lbs.  I am strict with what I eat, I walk walk walk, I go to the gym, do the elliptical, lift weights etc...and this morning I gained 1 lb.  I am so glad for the vets that post the words of encouragement!  Keep up the good work, hopefully we will just bust through this stall soon!
