Trying to stay off the scales

I have been trying to stay off the scales this week.  My Wife keeps saying I look skinnier by the day, which is great.  My neighbor saw me earlier and commented on how much weight I had lost.  I weighed the other day and it showed 247.5, got on there this morning and it showed 250.  This liquid diet is getting real old.  I have added runny cream of wheat to my menu and really enjoy a hot bowl of it in the mornings.  Tomorrow makes two weeks post-op.  I see the P.A. this Wednesday and the NUT a week from tomorrow.  Still not planning on returning to wor****il March 5.  I did get in a nice walk today and plan another in the morning.  My blood sugars are great.  I take two metformin a day and will be glad to be off those.  Hope everyone has a great and blessed week.

You are doing great- and avoid the demon scale as long as you can... It does things to your brain...

Concentrate on the healthy changes you are making, that is what will get you where you need to be, not the pesky scale.

You will be amazed how much better you feel as soon as you get back to work and a normal routine.

I went back after a week and am very glad I did so.

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

After surgery I loved getting on the scale and watching the pounds disappear.  It had been a long time since I had been able to do that.  I know that people say not to get on the scale.  For me it was one of the most enjoyable parts of my journey.

I have myself a boundary in regards to Mr. Scale.  Once a month, either at my PCP's office or my surgeon's office.  That way I won't drive myself crazy.
