I just saw an ad for the new OM Protein Packs - Lunchabels for adults.  Four selections each with meat, cheese and nuts.  All under 170 calories and with 13 or 14g of protein.  While not an ideal for everyday meals I would have loved some of these in my bag when I was traveling recently.  Great for planes or a lunch on the go and, at around $1.50, beats airport or airline prices.

Thanks for the info. Good idea to have a couple on hand if you are running late or have lots of errands.

Thanks again, DeeW

Thanks for the heads up. But, have you ever read the ingredients in their bologna? Like it is more a food product (i.e. some kind of man made mish-mash with food in the mash) that it is a food.

I can understand wanting to know in case you were stuck. However, I pray that we are all never THAT stuck.

To be honest, I neither eat nor buy bologna - ever.  I think ham cubes and cheddar are fairly safe for situations when other options aren't feasible.

Thanks for your concern.

I put this same post on about a week ago thinking I was nice sharing a good protein "on the go" snack option and everybody pretty much slammed it because it is processed, has a lot of salt, chemicals, whatever.  I personally think it is a great thing, as a busy working mom, to grab and still be protein foward.  I was disappointed that instead of people saying, thanks for the heads up on a new protein item, people just nit-picked.  Oh well, you can't please everybody!

Thanks! Wish I had seen your post.

I just take the negative comments with a few grains of sodium...

A few grains of sodium. . . now that's funny!  Seriously, I do read labels and know what I'm eating.  It's not always possible to eat grass-fed organic when you're a working mom of two on a budget.  I do the best I can!
