Well, I finally did it. I got a piece of turkey stuck and now I am foaming with a runny nose. DH made a 24lb turkey last night, so for bfast I took 4oz and heated it with 1/4c Heinz gravy on top. Nice and moist, right? Well, I either took too big of a bite or didn't chew it enough. I am feeling the pain. Doing everything to not fully throw up. Ugh - this is the first experience I have had like this. Will teach me to eat slower and take smaller bites next time. GRRH

I had an episode with chicken.  I was thinking the same thing, nice and moist.  I had terrible pain for several hours after eating it, then threw it all up.  My dietician says poultry has a lot of fibers which can cause our new digestive systems problems.  She said the best way to be sure is to chop it pretty finely in a food processor.  To this day I haven't had poultry again.  Bad memories.

Terrible feeling hope it doesn't last long.  I can't throw up since WLS so I usually have to wait it out however I have had to resort to making it come up a couple of times.  Try walking that usually seems to help more for me.

The foamies are horrid. This happened once with turkey, and once with pork. It's a tough lesson. Hope you feel better.

I know you don't want to throw up, but it might help you faster if you did.  I'm not saying to induce it, but maybe not prevent it.  When I got chicken stuck my first time, I suffered and suffered, trying not to throw up.  It wasn't until I threw up that things started feeling better.

Good luck!

Thanks, all. Surprisingly, it only lasted about 20 minutes, then unclogged itself.

Whew, glad it unclogged. Not looking forward to that experience but I guess it happens to most of us.
