starting solid foods, yay!
Had an appointment with my surgeon today and was advanced to solid foods. For lunch I had one slice of shaved deli turkey and one extra thin sliced sargento mild cheddar cheese cut up in teenie pieces.......well that is what I put on my plate. Got the mildly full sensation before finishing the cheese but ate the whole slice of shaved turkey. Chewed the HECK out of it, too. So far so good! Just had to share the joy!
Excellent! I remember that first bite of real solid food...heavenly. Your plan has been very conservative, so I'm sure you're going to really appreciate your foods now. Just take it slow and remember to chew well.
I'm glad for you!

Thanks, Pam. I guess it is conservative from what I read here. It has made me appreciate solid food though and I am so grateful that I have not had any trouble so far. I really enjoy going out and being social. It's good to know that I can have part of something in a restaurant. Will definitely scope out menus prior to going, though. Learned that from DC girl.

Congrats Kimberly!
After all the liquid and puréed stages "solid" food is just a dream! So happy for you. I ate a lot of cheese when I started solid food, you will do great! So happy for you as you move on to the next step in your journey!
