Lost friends. ..
Ohayo gazaimasu! (Good morning) my bariatric Buddies. just recently I've had to cut ties with friends. Two to be exact. The first one couldn't really except my way of life as it has changed dramatically concerning food. Every time she invites me to go somewhere, it is always somewhere to eat. She is constantly trying to get me to go back to my old eating habits. The second one has been getting attitude with me ever since I had the surgery. Have any of you ever lost friends because of the surgery? This is a little hard for me because i feel that they never really cared for me in the first place.
I am afraid that I am going to have to cut ties with one soon too. She calls thin women (b-1+ch3s) and told me that soon I would be one!
I dont think because one is thin, they are necessarily a b-1+ch. Since this is an "at work friend" I really dont feel like I can have the heart to heart conversation with her.
:(
Bummer
RNY Surgery: 12/31/2013;
Current weight (2/27/2015) 139lbs, ~14% body fat
Three pounds below Goal!!! Yay !
Sadly, it happens.
Before my surgery my friends were full of warning about all the dangers of the operation. They wanted to "sit down and discuss". I told them I didn't need 4 mothers, I had had one for 41 years and I am my own person.
Needless to say, my relationship with all them have cooled way down. Am I sad? not really. I know what is BEST for me and I make my own decisions. I am a grown-up after all.
I have other friends that support me and if they didn't have kept it to themselves. LOVE THEM!

Life is GOOD! I am happy and in the end---- THAT is all that matters!
