Book Suggestions?

I am looking for some books to read before my surgery (and again after) so that I can do right by myself. I am scheduled for my revision in August. I am taking for suggestions on anything - cookbooks, weight loss surgery books in general (but I am pretty knowledgeable about WLS including RNY from when I researched in 2007-8), nutrition, even fitness. Give me what you got peoples!

I am just getting into WLS for Dummies. I scanned the table of contents and read a few chapters here and there and did get some noteworthy tidbits.

Google RNY for dummies (It is a 2 or 3 page doc written by a dr) and also the atkins diet book is helpful and pro protein

I thought about buying a book about WLS before I had my surgery, but I have found that what I find on Internet by googling the topic, and here at OH, are much more relevant than any book that may have been published a few years back. And this is all free!!

I've gotten a lot of info of the net but sometimes I just like to have a book available to make notes or access when no electronics are available.

While not for WLS specifically, I would get The Diet Fix by Yoni Freehoff.  it is amazing.  The emotional and cognitive work he suggests is so critical.  It looks like just another diet book but it is actually a very thoughtful, well researched book with loads of information that will serve you well and help you avoid the dieting trap post op.  Good luck.

If you click on my name or picture you will go to my home page and find a list of 30 or so books that I've read.
