How much do I need to eat?
You should be eating the amount, and with the frequency, that your surgeon's plan calls for. Every surgeon has his/her own idea of what is "best" and it varies widely!
Some surgeons insist on no more than three meals per day while others recommend 6 smaller meals. Some surgeons give very strict calorie guidelines while others tell patients not to count anything but protein (and that, if they do that, and follow the rest of the plan as far as healthy food choices, there gis no need to count calories (which is like traditional dieting and doesn't work for many people).

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
Your doc should have given you guidelines to follow for each month as to intake for food, water, exercise and supplements. At 2 months I was on 200 calories per day, 3 months was 300, 6 months 600, 9 months 900 and at one year out and beyond I was to shoot for 1000-1200 calories per day. I also exercise and adjust the amount up or down according to my exercise for the day. If you're on supplemental shakes or protein drinks you're allowed more calories per day. I didn't get up to 650 calories per day until almost 7 months out. check with your doc as to how many calories, carbs, fat grams and water ounces they want you
on per day.
