Elliptical
Well, I thought I was in pretty good shape since I walk my dog daily at a moderate pace but, I just bought an elliptical exerciser and it kicked my butt. Wow, who knew how out of shape I really am. But I am determined to start slow and work my way up to 30 minutes a day. Hopefully, the butt that got kicked today will be considerably smaller in the near future.
The elliptical is a whole other kind of beast.
The first time I did one, I had been walking a great pace for an hour on the treadmill, so I figured I could whip out 30+ mins with no issues, I did not last 5 mins.
So I did not want to do it again. I felt like a failure, then someone suggested not to plan to do 30 mins, but to get used to it and just plan 2-3 mins. Then build up, before long I was doing an hour.
Just keep at it and your body will get more accustomed to it.
