As the others have already pointed out, you already know WHY you have been "stuck" for years.  Yes, of course there is "hope", but hope alone isn't enough.  Unfortunately, you have to take action.  Coming here is the first step in taking that action.  Now for the next step...

Cut out the unhealthy foods and snacking.  Go back to a high protein, limited carb meal plan.

Track your food (for at least a while) so you know how many calories you are taking in.  People usually WAY underestimate their intake if they don't track it.

if you have started drinking with meals again, stop.  Do whatever you can to get in more physical activity, even if that is just parking farther from the building in the parking lot, taking the steps instead of an elevator for just a couple of flights, etc.

Also, it usually helps to get some support, whether that is here or in a "live" support group.  It really does help keep you mindful of what you are eating and your habits, and seeing other people making good choices (and sometimes struggling to make them) helps you realize that you are not alone and that you CAN take control.

In case the OP is still following, I need to say, these posts really bug me. Someone hasn't posted anything at all in over 5 years, asks for help, gets plenty of it, and never bothers to reply to anyone. That's extremely inconsiderate, and clearly is not interested in getting help.

I'm sure we'll see her again in a couple of years, with another hit-and-run plea for help, and no changes actually made.

Or she will create a brand new profile.

The hit and run people drive me crazy, too.

You can do it! You have the tools. Sounds like you just need a little support...something some of these people who posted on here forgot what that is. Rude rude rude! Some people suck! Good luck and don't let these grumps bring you down
