One Year Surgiversary
Yesterday marked 1 year. I have not reached goal and I have had discouraging moments during this past year. What I do know is, this is a LIFE LONG journey and just because I haven’t been able to reach goal doesn’t mean I’m not accomplished (no matter what my surgeon says). I am off ALL medications (4 daily shots of insulin, diabetes pills, 2 High BP pills, High Cholesterol pill and my endo telling me I was going to need to be put on an insulin pump). Since my surgery I have ran a 5k (and wasn’t last to finish), been to NUMEROUS zumba-thons, and can play with my toddler without needed to take breaks! I am writing this because there are surgeons out there (aka MINE) that will beat you down for not meeting your “weight loss” goal, but the number on that scale does not determine what kind of a person you are. You are loved, you are special, and you are the person God has you on this earth to be. I don’t know all of you but I know for a fact that each and every one of you are LOVED! Love yall and good luck on this journey of LIFE!
You've done fantastic! Great job.

Thank you Queen!!! He said because of how young I am (31) that I should have lost all the weight which was 88 lbs all together to reach 150, I have 33 more lbs to lose. He walked into the office at my follow up and asked me what the hell I was eating again because all this weight should be gone.
Needless to say I am not going back to him nor his support groups for my follow ups.
