Soup Question

I am on the Full Liquids part of my diet and was told cream soups were ok assuming they were puréed or strained.  However, do you think creamy tomato is ok? Or cream of potato? I am getting bored with cream of mushroom.

thanks

My program steered us away from tomato things until about 4 months or so due to the acid. For potato, I'd still strain out the chunks. I found cream of chicken and cream of asparagus to be the tastiest with the bits strained out. :D

I handled cream of potato better than any other cream soup. :)

I think all those options sound fine. My doctor had no problem with tomato based products.

They were OK on my surgeon's plan.

I picked up a couple of the following ones from Campbells Everyday Gourmet, they are sooooooooooo good and no need to strain, nice and thick. Be sure to check sugar/fat content on them though.

Sweet Potato Tomatillo

I was told any of the cream box soups were fine.  There are no bits in the boxed soups I used that I needed to strain.  My favorites were Potato Leek, Roasted Red Pepper & Tomato and Butternut Squash.   I kept away from Tomato only soup myself because I didn't want to tempt it but the tomato AND red pepper soup went down fine.

My doc didn't want tomato soup because of sugar content.
