Hello Everyone,

I had a big butt and thighs.  Now I have a lot of hanging!

I can fit into a size 12 but they don't look right.  I have a lot of saddle bag skin.

Any suggestions on brands of pants to try?  Jeans look pretty good as they have enough weight and stretch but dress pants look ...flabby!

I keep working on squats and lunges and I'm doing lots of running but skin is skin!  Either my dress pants only fit for about an hour and then they stretch out and don't fit at all or they have too much tightness in my butt and my skin hangs.  I'm still losing and expect I'll get down another 15 lbs so that is at least another size but what should I shop for now!?

I don't know if you belong to Costco but they sell Gloria Vanderbilt jeans(Style Amanda) for $15. They come in petite, reg and tall and in colors as well as blue. I think they also might sell them at Kohls but I don't know the price. The colors and the material seemed pretty nice. I tried them in the plus size and they didn't have tall so they were too short.

I wear pantyhose under my pants to help smooth everything.

I second the pantyhose suggestion, they also sell nifty things in the lingerie department that are great.  Body shapers I think they call them.  You can get some that look like bike shorts.  I like them because you can buy the hard core ones (fiercely uncomfortable) but you can also buy lightweight ones which just feel like bike shorts but give you a little structure and smoothing.  I am heavier in the bee-hind and thighs and I do best in high waisted pants that are not really tight through the thigh.  It can be hard to find high waisted pants that don't have a ton of spandex.  Spandex is not your friend when you are trying to conceal loose skin.  I like dress pants from Anne Taylor loft (I get them at thrift stores), they are more substantial.  Talbots also sells some really nice pants that are tailored and have more structure.  Again, I get mine at thrift stores.   I also have to have pants taken in at the waist which really really helps.

I went from a 28-32W to a 10.  I like New York and Company pants with STRETCH  (it is a line of theirs).  There is spandex/lyra in it to hold the wigglies and jigglies AND they stretch when you sit down.  Love them.

I found my favorite pair at Goodwill

Have you thought of wearing skirts? It is so much easier and I feel more feminine in them.

I second the skirt suggestion.  I stopped wearing pants 3-4 months ago and I've been so much happier.  Skirts are just super easy.

I wear a lot of skirts or I did in previous sizes...I'm getting where I have nothing to wear again and I'm smaller than I've been in 18 years. I live where it was 102 degrees today...no panty hoses in this season! I try and have at least one pair of dress pants for work and I'd like to have two pairs. I usually have at least 2 skirts. I'm panicked that I have nothing to wear again. Is that weird or just part of the process.  I believe I'd like to wear jeans everyday! Except our dress code says only on Fridays
