I just saw this when I was thinking of getting some soup for lunch.  They have a new Power menu, or new to me at least :)  Below is an example of one that has 25g of protein!  Seems like an excellent option if you're out and about.

Power Chicken Hummus Bowl

Chicken raised without antibiotics, cilantro jalapeño hummus, baby spinach, cucumbers, diced tomatoes and red onions, finished with freshly squeezed lemon juice and freshly chopped cilantro. Available in whole and half.

Hi Kbb, I saw you post this on the "What's on the Menu" post and it looked so intriguing (Chicken and hummus, what's not to love)?  Thanks for letting us know, now if I'm out and about, I'll know Panera has a WLS friendly option!

:)  I actually did end up having it for lunch, and it was delish!  Basically a grilled chicken salad with cucumbers and tomatoes, and the hummus was the dressing, which is a great idea.  Very lemony and refreshing.  I could barely eat 1/4 of it because im only two months post op and dense protein feels like bricks in my stomach!

That looks good.

Panera's so-called "Hidden Menu" has in fact been around a while and it's fabulous.  The Power Chicken Hummus Bowl in particular is one of my favorites.

However, in my experience its ingredients and amounts - and therefore its nutrition information - can vary a lot based on who's making it.  For example, I've gotten anywhere between one little ice cream scoop of hummus and three of them.  I don't think it's a lot to worry about (you can do a lot worse than an extra 100 calories of hummus) but it's something to keep in mind.

Definitely a good point!
