Hypothyroidism and Slow Slow weight loss
Does anyone else struggle with weight loss having hypothyroidism? After surgery my TSH levels went from 1.06 to 6.36...and I've been taking my meds every day. I feel sleepy all the time, but can't sleep at night...cant focus.
I see the doc this thursday...just wonder if anyone else has struggled with their hypo levels or slow slow weight loss after surgery...???
I think I've responded before, but I will again :) My TSH went from 1.43 before surgery to 4.91 (just got my labs back the other day). At 6 weeks out I had lost 33 lbs (I am 5' 6") Surgery weight was 249. I am happy with that so far, but I'm not sure if it's slow or not. This Wednesday (10/1) will be 7 weeks but I am on a business trip, so I won't weigh in until Friday.

I am having the same problem. i was beinging to feel like i was the only one. I hate to admit it but i am horrible at remembering to take my levothyroxine. However my weighloss has slowed and its driving me crazy. two days ago i started my increased dose so hopefully i will start feeling normal again and continue to lose weight. I am 10 months post op and down 155lbs.
Wow that's awesome! I'm a bit jealous I must say! I am 1 month and 5 days out and I have only lost 13 pounds :( I surely hope it gets better than this. I had to deal with the same problem before I had my first surgery, and after it too...Now after my revision it seems like my weight is never gonna come off even though i'm only eating between 550-700 calories a day... NUT says everything I am doing is spot on...just to keep at it. That is so discouraging ....
