Didn't Chew Well!

Yesterday I was eating too fast and didn't chew my food well enough.  A little while after I ate I started feeling kind of like something was stuck.  I laid down and it took a couple of hours for the feeling to pass.  Today I'm sore in that area.  Is this normal?  I'm almost 3 months out and don't think I damaged anything but was wondering if anyone else was sore the next day.  Thanks.

Yeah.  It's pretty normal and you probably didn't damage anything.  And you've learned why it's so important to chew well!

Thanks for the reply.  I usually don't have a problem unless I'm not concentrating on what I am doing.  I will definitely be more careful.

Oh yeah. Been there done that. If it was stuck a little worse, you'd have gotten the foamies. Yuck.

It's not a huge deal, but hopefully you've learned a lesson and chew better next time. I sure did.

This can also happen with things that can expand, like bread, rice and pasta. I still don't eat rice or pasta, and it took a couple of years before I could eat even a little bread.

Thanks so much.  It's good to know that I'm not alone and you better believe I have learned my lesson.  I was truly miserable.

*raises hand*  Me too.  It was a miserable experience and I was also sore the next day.  I had steak at my anniversary dinner and was not mindful when I was eating.  That has not happened since.  LOL

It is a horrible feeling.I try to make myself slow down.Everyone in my family eats so fast. I try to focus on my meal. I usually walk it off if something gets stuck.I have to move.
