What drugs work for you when you have a cold? (No NSAIDS)
Good morning all! After an action-packed and active weekend, I can hardly swallow because my throat hurts so bad. Normally I would take Aleve Cold and sinus for a few days and go on with life. This is the first cold I have had since RNY so I'm curious, what works for you? Sudafed? Tylenol Cold and Sinus? A concoction of witch hair and unicorn hoof? All comments welcome! I'm feeling terrible and have to fly to Vegas tomorrow so I need to get better (or at least mask the symptoms lol)!

I use individual products to treat my symptoms versus the multi-symptom products as they often have stuff in them that I don't need. So, if I am congested, I use saline and a decongestant nasal spray like Afrin. For a headache, acetaminiphen (Tylenol). For a sore throat, I use something like chloraseptic spray or lozenges. Some have an anesthetic in them for the sore throat. Tylenol cold and sinus is okay, but please check the ingredients in the label to make sure that everything in it is what you need. Some of these products have antihistamines in them, which can make you drousy.
I've always had good luck with Dayquil/Nyquil. I get the real Sudafed if my congestion is bad.
