EGD tomorrow

I have my EGD tomorrow. I'm not really worried about the procedure (thanks to you that already had it and assured me that it was pretty harmless), but I'm worried about if something could be found that would prevent me from having the surgery and when I will get a surgery date. I have medicare so no pre approval will be needed. Blood work, EKG, upper X-ray all completed. My surgeon told me that we could do the psych/nutritionist/exam all in the same day (I don't know that day either)  With the holidays approaching,  I would just like to know what plans to make/not to make and give my part time job sufficient notice of when I will need off work. .I'm just worry-venting (sighs) :-)
