Weightloss... not much?
I'm a month and 11days out, and I havent lost much at all. and have been stalled for a while. I know my body recently went through a lot, I'm just terrified that I'm failing at this. I've been doing everything i've been told and walking 6-8 blocks each day. any advice? also what other light work outs can I get my self into at this point in the game?
thank you all in advance.

How many calories are you eating in a day? what was your starting weight? how much have you lost? Are you getting 60-90 grams of protein a day? drinking enough water? not drinking with meals? We need more information about you in order to really help much.
First thing is, start honestly tracking your food intake. Start moving more measure your distance in Miles not blocks. At your 6 weeks post op you should get the clear to go back to normal activities, so add in more things like weights, swimming, biking, hiking, yoga, heck anything to get you moving more.

hey there, i'm getting about 600/800cals a day and 50/70grams of protein a day, i'm still really working on my water intake. and no i don't drink at my meals.. I'm on the lower end, last year when i started the process i was 245/250lbs by the time i had surgery i was 200/196lbs (my scale reads differently from my doctors. my month weigh in at the doctors office I was 189/186lbs
I will be looking into going to a gym, to swim as well as maybe taking some fitness boxing classes as well as yoga. I'm just sort of frustrated, I know because I'm 'small' that it will be abit slower but I wasn't expecting basically nothing to come off. as I've been following all the guide lines.

How much have you lost?
As far as what other work outs you can do, I think you need to check with your doctor. I wasn't supposed to do anything but walk for six weeks. I was supposed to be walking for 30 minutes at one month out, though.
Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR. If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor. Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me. If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her. Check out my blog.
If you are doing everything you are supposed to be doing then you answered your own question. That is what you need to be doing. We are all terrified of failing in the beginning. You don't put a number on your 'haven't lost much at all' but everyone is different. How our bodies lose weight makes no sense sometimes. Like why we go on a stall when we aren't doing anything different. Good Luck!

Hi
I too am a slow looser I am short, a light weight and older all adding up to slow. In the first few months the scale reduced me to tears ( and that is a hard thing to do!) but I have now fallen into a routine and I step loose (nothing for a week, up and down for a week, then 2/3 pounds a week and then nothing ....)so I just do what I need to do, keep my head down and keep going. Every time I loose a pound I feel refreshed and rewarded for my hard work. I
think us slow loosers need to change our expectations and just keep going It will come off in the end! ( I know....easier said than done!)
I put the scales away because I was not losing as fast as some of those posting on the forum but I knew I was doing what I was suppose to do so trusted that it was working. It was more evident in how my clothes were fitting than by the scale. I made my goal wt in 9 months and ended up surpassing that by the year mark. You are fortunate to be able to exercise. I tore up my feet and knees before gaining the wt so do good walking for exercise. I had an open RNY and lapband removal, cysts and the gallbladder removed so I certainly wasn't walking very far at six weeks. I was tired for months. I still lost the wt without working out but know the years to come can easily regain so have to remain focused on eating less than those that are able to exercise. I continue to eat protein first meals.
