A New Start
Well I'm almost back up to the weight I was before my WLS 5 years ago... :( I've invested in some Unjury protein shakes and a very expensive elliptical machine. My poor feet are hurting and I feel like crap all the time because of this weight. I'm hoping to lose 120 pounds but I'd be happy with even 80 pounds lost. I'm disgusted at myself and I want to change.
I've been have a protein shake for breakfast and lunch and just eat a regular dinner, since my dinners are pretty healthy. It was my incessant snacking and drinking alcohol that really screwed things up for me. I know the protein shakes probably aren't the best thing but I don't plan on doing it long term...just to get me back on track.
I really need to start losing weight, I'm 46 and feel 66. I can't do this any more. I want to be able to get down on the floor and play with my grandson and run around the back yard with him.
Has anyone had any success with using protein shakes for losing weight after regain?
I hope everyone is having a great day!!!
Melissa
I'm doing much the same process; I do use protein shakes for breakfast, and then eat normal foods (protein first) and exercise. So far I've lost 35# in the past 8 months. Slow, I know, but it's better than the way I was.
I'm finding that exercise is the most important part of the equation. Don't hurt yourself, because then you'll say "f*** it" and quit. Also, I've found that only eating 3 meals a day is important.
Just DO it!
