Surgery yesterday!

Hi everyone, I had surgery yesterday 11/3. I was so out of it yesterday  until about 2am and now I am doing a lot of walking the halls. Did have a lot of pain yesterday but movement helps. Looking forward to the coming results!

So glad you are doing so well! It's always so good to hear from people after surgery so we see how they are feeling and doing. I have my surgery in six days so I'll be right there with you. Congratulations!!

princessjess73, so glad you had an uneventful surgery and have felt well enough to check in.  I slept the day of surgery away too, I also walked the halls in the middle of the night to move the gas.  Congrat's on making it to the Loser's bench.  It is the beginning of an exciting journey.  Keep checking in.  As you know there are a lot of vets on here who have oodles of info to help make things a little easier for us newbies.  Take care of yourself

A mom-friendly suggestion is to reserve your tech equipment time for more important things especially hours post-op.  Instead, use this hospital time for walking, sleeping, and asking the medical staff as many questions as you can think of until they discharge you.  

I have walked like crazy, showered and put make-up on. I am a nurse so pretty well don't have too many questions and actually, we patients actually have taught the staff. Pretty fast recoverer, I have a toddler to take care when I get home. I have been waiting over a decade! Thanks for everyone's concerns.

You showered and pu on make-up the day after surgery? I am in AWE of you! The day after my surgery I could barely move, and putting on make-up would have the absolute LAST THING I would have thought of doing.

You have completely given me hope and inspiration.  I am hoping to be able to get up, wash up and put on make-up.  I am on the count down.  I start my liquid diet Saturday and have surgery on the 19th :)
