After a recent check in my blood work revealed extremely low testosterone. After getting a prescription for testosterone patches I have seen my weight gone up. Anyone who has been under similar situations.

low testosterone comes from getting older, not from having WLS. Just sayin...

There may be other reasons for hormonal imbalances beside age. Nutritional deficiencies, very low cholesterol are a couple that comes to mind.

" hormonal" imbalances, possibly, yes. "Testosterone" being low,I have to wonder if nutritional imbalances or low cholesterol would cause low testosterone.

I will have to research that a bit,for my own knowledge.

thanks for the link,I will check it out. I googled " low testosterone inmen with gastric bypass" found one study that said GBP was found to normalize testosterone because of the weight loss.  Saw a couple other articles, not men with gbp and nothing was said about nutritional deficiencies being a cause, but as those of us know, most articles/ studies on normies don't apply to us anymore.  Men with.  Full stomachs can eat * plenty* enough to avoid nutritional issues.

One of the side effects of testosterone supplementation is fluid retention, so that is likely the "weight gain" you are seeing.
