eating too much?
I'm 4mos post op and have been feeling like I eat too much. I can eat 8-9oz with no problem. The only thing I eat and can feel restriction with is chicken. At my 3mo post op apt, I spoke with the doctor and she said that was fine and I wouldn't need to eat 5-6 times a day if I was able to eat 8-9 oz in a setting. I'm ok with that but still feel like having/wanting a snack in between my meals. Has anyone else experienced being able to eat that much so early out?

I cant tell you whether this is normal or not.
I am 10 months post op and for me, 1/4 -1/2 cup food is my max. Now, if I graze or sit at the table for an hour, I can eat more. However, my surgeon was very clear about 1/2 cup of food consumed over a 30 minute period.
Eventually (a year out) I should be working up to 1 cup of food. 1 cup is about 8 oz.

I am 4 months out and cannot eat a cup at a time. My nutritionist has me eating 3 meals a day plus 2 snacks for a total of 1000 calories
88 gm protein
100 gm carbs
28 gm sugar total for the day.
I am very strict about my calories, vitamins and my food / water.
I have chicken and egg issues right now, hopefully it will pass.
What kind of foods are you eating? I've found that softer foods like yogurt or even chili I can consume more of but other things, like dense meat, I can't eat a lot of.
And I also have big pouch, little pouch days. No rhyme or reason. Some days I feel like a bottomless pit and other days I get full after a few bites.
Just try to start with denser foods, like meat and you will find yourself getting satisfied with less food.

I am with Ladytazz... very variable. Somedays 3 bites and I'm done... other days... I get worried. :) I think it usually has to do with what you are eating. Softer things are 'slider' foods...and slide right through. I was never given a calorie number just 60-80g protein and 64oz liquids. Protein first, then veggies, and fruit or starch if you still have room.

I measure food by weight unless it's soft (like yogurt) -- and I can now eat 4 oz at a time. So, that translates to about 1/2 a cup. I am 11 months out.
