Update from hospital
Just wanted to update. My surgery went well. No complications. Pain is pretty under con trol with Toridal and the have dilaudid on hand. I had that a few times in recovery but trying to not use it now because I hate being out of it. Went for my first walk an hour or so ago and that really brought the pain. Upper GI not til tomorrow so nothing but ice chips for tonight. I think the dry mouth is one of the worst parts. Lol
So thank you for your prayers and well wishes, I appreciate it so much!
Congratulations Amie...Really glad to see everything is going well!!!! Just remember to keep walking as much as possible, I know it might make you a little sore at first and might be a little painful! But trust me it helps pass the gas so much quicker and easier and it turns helps you heal quicker!!! Also remember to sip, sip, sip, sip. You don't want to get dehydrated. My doctor told me that's the #1 cause that lands WLS patients back in the hospital. I completely understand not wanting to take the dilaudid unless absolutely necessary. Every time i took that i was out of it and drooling, lol but i did feel good, haha. Anyways congratulations and keep us updated on how your doing and whats going on, prayers are with you!!! ---Andy---
Andy, thank you for the kind words, I really appreciate it! You're right, the sipping is the one thing I have trouble with. Ever since my sleeve four years ago, liquid feels weird and doesn't set well and I have major issues so I really need to be mindful. Thank you for all of the encouragement!
