Did you start Mirilax or fiber early on?

I'm a week post op. First four days or so I had diarrhea and now Nothing. Feel like I should be having some kind of movement. Should I start some mirilax? Not sure if it's too early for fiber powder or not. Thanks. 

I started it before surgery and kept it going after.  Ask your surgeon to be sure, but mine was ok with it.  Part of the reason you aren't going is because you are eating so little.

Check with your own surgeon,but mine had us start a dose of miralax in the morning and a dose of colace if needed in the evening immediately post op.

I started Miralax immediately when I got home (4 days post op).  I've always had trouble w/constipation and I knew the pain meds had slowed down the system :)

You really haven't eaten alot this week and the early on diarrhea is from all the fluids they pumped in you. I use Benefiber. It's tastless and you can add it to anything you eat or drink. 

I guess that I figured all the protein I'm taking in is going to cause me to have one. 

I was on miralax birdie surgery and didn't need it until about 6 weeks after. As others have suggested, just check in with your dr and team.
