Surgery (last Tuesday) went fine . . . sorry I have not done a catch up post
Actually, I began a post the day after surgery but got the the subject line typed in and promptly fell asleep. Since, I've barely come online and when I do it's to mostly check my email and because I'm a Realtor, answer customer questions or pass them off to my partner to take care of.
I have virtually had no problems. I was discharged Wednesday late afternoon (the day after surgery) and if I have one regret, it was not staying 1 more night (yea, they were leaving it up to me). I have taken the Zofran and Percocet every 4 hours as prescribed and I think that has helped in recovering. Also, kept everything easy. All I do is shower, blow dry my hair, and walk. I have the best husband in the world because he makes sure I am fed and take all my medicines.
Today I decided i was going to make my family's favorite soup - Hearty Beef & Barley Vegetable Soup. Although I had to puree mine, it was delicious. I also didn't take any pain medication today so I could feel if I was overdoing it or not. I was glad to take that pill as I sat down to eat (drink).
I have no reason to believe that the next few days do not go as well as the past few days - everyday I feel a little bit better and stronger then the day before. I do have a closing tomorrow afternoon but I other than popping in with Champagne and a gift card for my sellers and to meet the buyers and their agent, my partner will handle everything else and my husband will bring me back home.
I've been sleeping downstairs on one of our lounge chairs. But in a few minutes I'm going to go upstairs and try my bed out - I'm so looking forward to it and hoping I'll sleep through the nights. Good night all!
You sound like you're doing great! Keep it up
