Don't give up. I was denied the night before my surgery. The doctors office called and I was devastated. The following day I got on the phone with the insurance company and explained my whole history and the following day I got a call from the doctors office saying that the doctor also had spoke to the insurance and that everything was a go. I was rescheduled for the following week.

I was just below on the BMI chart because I had lost some weight on my own. But I did it for my health, diabetes, heart problems, high cholesterol and triglycerides, asthma and other issues.

So please don't give up and keep fighting.

I have BCBS of Iowa and had ZERO problems getting anything approved. The approval was instant even. I'm wondering if you followed all of their prerequisites ??
